Independent U.S. benefits information

Editorial & Source Policy

Our goal is to make complicated U.S. benefit information easier to understand without replacing the official agency.

Source hierarchy

We prioritize the administering government agency, official program website, federal or state regulations and manuals, and official application portals. Secondary sources may help us locate a program but should not be the sole basis for an eligibility rule presented as current.

How we write

We summarize official information in plain English. We do not copy government pages wholesale, and we distinguish general federal screening limits from state-specific rules.

Verification dates

Each structured benefit record can carry a data period, last verification date, next review date, administering agency, official source, and official application link. Records due for review are flagged in the WordPress dashboard.

Corrections

If an official source conflicts with our page, the official source controls. Please report a possible error through our contact page and include the program name and official source when possible.

Advertising independence

Advertising does not determine which benefits we include, how we rank screening results, or what we say about eligibility. Official application links are not paid placements.
