How We Verify Benefits
Our standard: official source first, conservative matching, visible freshness.
1. We identify the administering source
Federal programs are checked against the responsible federal agency. State and local programs should be checked against the responsible state, county, city, Tribal, or program-administering agency.
2. We record the rule period
Benefit records can store the data year or fiscal period, last verified date, and next review date. Annual limits are scheduled for review before a new program year whenever practical.
3. We screen conservatively
We use labels such as “Potential Match” rather than “You qualify.” When deductions, exclusions, state options, funding availability, disability rules, immigration rules, or other factors can change eligibility, we say so.
4. Official agencies decide
Only the administering agency can approve or deny an application. Our result is a research shortcut, not an eligibility determination.
5. We protect the screening experience
The finder does not ask for Social Security numbers, Medicare IDs, bank credentials, passwords, or medical records. We also avoid using screening answers as advertising-targeting signals.
6. Corrections
If you find an outdated figure or broken source, report it through our contact page. The official source controls whenever it conflicts with our summary.
